ABOUT THE SHOW

Suburban Showgirl premiered in November 2007 at T.U. Studios in North Hollywood under the direction and guidance of Richard Klein and Leslie Welles. During the successful 9 week run Producer Garry Marshall discovered the show and it brought to the Falcon Theatre in Toluca Lake for the exclusive "Garry Marshall Presents" series in May 2008 and continued in La Jolla CA. In 2013 Davis revised the script with her team Gregory Fuller and Ross Kalling and incorporated original music composed by Ross Kalling. With choreographic contributions by Keith Young, Showgirl ran for 6 weeks at the No Ho Arts center in North Hollywood receiving excellent reviews. In 2014 director Cate Caplin joined the team and brought Showgirl to the Malibu Playhouse for a three week run. Since then Suburban Showgirl has played at Theatre Row in New York, the Hudson Theatre (Hollywood) , Alva's Showroom (San Pedro), North Coast Rep (San Diego), Leisure Village (Camarillo CA) Sierra Madre Playhouse (Sierra Madre CA), Auburn Avenue Theatre in Washington, and is booking tours into 2018. Critically acclaimed for the virtuoso dancing and character work, Palmer Davis has set a new standard for dancers and solo shows. Playing over 18 characters, Davis brings you into the life of Wendy Walker, a former" Broadway Gypsy" turned magician's assistant. It's a Turning Point meets Fame on tour. This 70 minute dramatic musical comedy is hilarious, heartwarming and...Not to be missed!!!
